ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Soleyma Theilmann Gohr (pronunciation: So-lay-ma Tile-man Gohr). Born in Bahrain, and then raised in Qatar from the age of 6 to 18, my early exposure to travelling to many countries and cultures, along with museums, gave me a taste and appreciation for the field.

In 2018, I moved to Peterborough to study at Trent University, where I graduated in December 2021 with a BAH in Ancient Greek and Roman Studies with a minor in History and option in Pre-Modern Studies. My passion for learning more about the past, in any part of the world, along with wanting to discover the secrets and history of individual artefacts, led me to want to study and work in the museum field. I did Fleming College’s Museum Management and Curatorship programme.

When I am not working, I love taking photos with my camera, and exploring the outdoors and nature around me by hiking or biking. Other favourite activities include knitting, reading, and baking.

Feel free to browse through my website to learn more about the projects I have done, my resume, and contact information
