What did I learn

The topics about taught me how important it is to work as a team. Our class had a common goal to build our class exhibit and work with the PMA to agree on its concepts and design. So, we did class resolutions when needed, and communicated with each other to agree on a single design and concept. Plus, having floor plans and elevations help to visualise the concept of my mini-exhibit, and the class one, to see where everything was going.

Assignments

  • Create and work on our class exhibit preliminary storyline

  • A teamwork self-evaluation

  • Work on the exhibit objective, text, images, design, and installation of my mini-exhibit

  • Work on the exhibit interpretive plan, draft, revise, and finalise the exhibit objects and images for the class exhibit

  • Do a peer evaluation and personal reflection

  • Complete my class exhibit

In addition to working on my mini-exhibit and presenting it in December, I also got to work with my class for our exhibit in April. Each step taught me valuable lessons and skills, such as improving my teamwork.  Additionally, I helped to create a storyline for the exhibits so I had a clear vision and goal from them, and installed the exhibits. In each step of the process, I worked with my classmate and professor to ensure that we were heading in the right direction, and agreed on the specific item and ideas before moving further with the project.
