ITCH Peterborough

Over the course of the year, I helped the ITCH with multiple events like the bonfire event, Thanksgiving hayride, Halloween and Christmas meet-ups, and a New Year’s get-together. For each event, I got to help with the set-up and take-down to ensure that everything was ready for the event.  Even with the take-down, it helped the organisers to they wouldn’t have to stay as long afterwards cleaning and putting away all the food and games that they brought. Even with the Thanksgiving event, I would help ensure that everyone whose names were on the clipboard was on the bus heading to and from the farm, so that we wouldn’t leave anyone behind. When the events themselves were happening, I would talk to everyone to not only get to know more about them, but to also have fun with them. I would also play games with them, and some were new to me, to pass the time, and create some entertainment for the group before we ate. All the students who came to the events had an amazing time, and still talked to each other outside of these events – some of whom I still talk to.
